Robin Bernhard, LCSW, MEd brings the benefits of EMDR to her clients, combining this new treatment with her knowledge of family therapy, spontaneous art therapy, dreamwork and sandtray. Areas of specialization are life transition, trauma, women’s health and creativity enhancement. She has been practicing since 1985, and worked as a consultant to the Hospice of Western New York, the NYS Department of Social Services, Chautauqua County Head Start and Charlottesville-Albemarle Mental Health Association.

Jessica M. Eure, LPC, BCN
Jessica Eure is a Licensed Professional Counselor, having graduated in May 2007 from the University of Virginia with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has experience in the mental health field in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Jessica cofounded the Virginia Neurofeedback, Attachment and Trauma Center with Robin Bernhard in 2004. Jessica has extensive training in EEG biofeedback from EEG Spectrum International, Inc, The Learning Curve, Inc., the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, and the Behavioral Medicine Research Foundation. She is Board Certified in neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. In addition, Jessica is trained and has received supervision in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She specializes in the treatment of attention deficit disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD and depression using neurofeedback and psychotherapy.
Jessica has completed specific training in order to offer supervision to mental health counselor residents working towards licensure (LPC) in Virginia. She is also an approved neurofeedback mentor through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance for clinicians seeking national board certification in neurofeedback (BCN).

Kevin L. Carter, BS, MS-Candidate
Kevin, the clinic's first mental health counseling intern, is offering counseling and neurofeedback sessions at the Virginia Center for Neurofeedback, Attachment & Trauma under the supervision of Jessica and Robin. He will be completing his Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in March of 2014. Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 from Radford University. He brings the experience of thirteen years with the Greene County Department of Social Services, five years with District #9 Adult Probation and Parole located in Charlottesville, VA, and two years as a Corrections Institution Rehabilitation Counselor. In May of 2013, he attended the Brain Science International neurofeedback program towards BCIA certification.
